Yogi Bhajan Lecture on Mantras

Mantras and miracles

Mantras and Miracles is a beautiful night that starts with a little light Kundalini Yoga and ends with a lot of Mantra.

We have been doing these for about a year and a half now and it has really grown into a powerful night. M&M night is held the 3rd Thursday of every month at Bija Yoga in Naples. Everyone is welcome – even those new to Kundalini Yoga and Manta. $15 suggested, but as with all workshops, you pay what you can. No one will be turned away.

Here’s an clip form a great Yogi Bhajan lecture on mantra I found in the Library of Teachings:

Molecule recombination and combined in a frequency of the magnetic field into the regional area of definition is called Banthar, it means something manifest. You are thirty trillion cells combined together, in the process of being a identity called human, either you are male or female doesn’t matter, but your identity is the same in a molecular situation. So you have that what you call is Banthar, Banthar means that is what you made, that is your structurally made out of the Infinity. Your power and qualification is dismantled and limited because of you putting your own mental pressure because the sustenance of you is ego. It is not your intellect, that is where we goof. And we undertake the situation that we are intellect and then we are intelligent, but when it is a ego then there are insecurities, then we have boundaries, borders, and deal and then toll tax, who does for me and who I do for then we inter-communicate, we do not collectively inter-create.

Collective relationship finishes when ‘I’ comes, when ‘I’ comes the third eye will never open. Fight is between I and thou, if thou is qualifying then everybody is a part of thou therefore there is nothing to worry about. And if you accept thou you have nothing to worry about. Now every Banthar which is a status of existence, there is a, there is a formula for it, mantar means formula, but in a human sense mantar means Mann, Trang, that means the wave to which mind can go. If mind can penetrate through all barriers you will experience Infinity which is Divinity, which is ecstasy, which is what you want to call it, but if a mind is limited, you are limited.

There are some aeroplanes, they can cross the oceans. There are some they can cross, some states and there are some which can only go fifteen hundred miles and then they need re-gasing. Power is that of your mind and power of the mantra will reach you to the mind and its stages in ecstasy in experience in a human body which you otherwise you are not, that’s why mantras are very important.

Now scientifically what a mantra is? When we talk and chant the tip of the tongue touches the upper palate at eighty-four points, on our upper palate there are eighty-four points, meridians they call them in Chinese language, and they are stimulated. They stimulate the thalamus and hypothalamus. Thalamus and hypothalamus are important because they make you to go into the grind of the way, make you unwavering. All your unwavering courageous habits are based on your hypothalamus. There are two categories of you which are to be developed, the front lobe and hypothalamus, one is done by tongue, by chanting certain sound current in the vibratory effect of correlating to each other, and the other is when you meditate. Then the development of the front lobe, opens up for you the unknown space.

It is a science on the biofeedback you can read it. In the quantum leap theory you can totally understand it and it is not very difficult these days. So the human on one hand has the means to be very extensive, but on the other hand human is very limited if his nervous system does not contribute to keep him and keep him alive and well and happy, what in your life your smiles and your songs can do your whole philosophy cannot do that.

LOVE: A Kundalini Yoga Workshop in Naples, FL

Do you have a heart? Maybe one that needs some healing? Maybe one that you know could stretch a little bigger, feel a little lighter and beat a little harder? February is the month of love and to celebrate I’ll be doing a Kundalini Yoga workshop the night before Valentine’s.

Love rules. Seriously, it’s love that makes this world go ’round, makes our lives full and worthwhile. Love is worth all and every sacrifice because it’s the only thing that matters in the end. But life can be brutal, and the pains and hurts can add up, causing us to shut down from our natural flow of love and harden the heart.

Let’s undo this.

In this Friday’s workshop we will do some incredibly powerful work to open the heart center, heal and forgive old wounds and immerse ourselves in self-love. Then we can spread, shine and share our love with the rest of the world in a bigger and more profound way and we can experience the happiness that is our birthright.

Please join me for this incredible journey. February 13th, 6:30- 8:00. All are welcome. $15 suggested @ Bija Yoga in Naples, FL

The Most Beautiful Words on Love Ever Written, Kahlil Gibran on Love

We are in the month of love, and these is my all-time favorite words on love! From my heart to yours. Enjoy.

Kahlil Gibran on Love

When love beckons to you, follow him,
Though his ways are hard and steep.
And when his wings enfold you yield to him,
Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.
And when he speaks to you believe in him,
Though his voice may shatter your dreams
as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.
Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,
So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.
He threshes you to make you naked.
He sifts you to free you from your husks.
He grinds you to whiteness.
He kneads you until you are pliant;
And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God’s sacred feast.

All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life’s heart.

But if in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love’s threshing-floor,
Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all of your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.
Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.
Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;
For love is sufficient unto love.

When you love you should not say, “God is in my heart,” but rather, “I am in the heart of God.”
And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.
But if you love and must needs have desires, let these be your desires:
To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.
To know the pain of too much tenderness.
To be wounded by your own understanding of love;
And to bleed willingly and joyfully.
To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;
To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;
To return home at eventide with gratitude;
And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.

Kundalini Yoga Aquarian Sadhana in Naples, FL

Join me this month for Naples Yoga Center’s first Early Morning Sadhana hosted by yours truly and a special friend, and KRI certified teacher, Elizabeth Hart.

Sadhana is your daily spiritual practice. In Kundalini Yoga sadhana most often refers to the Aquarian Sadhana done early every morning and outlined by Yogi Bhajan.

This is a beautiful practice and while it’s quite lovely to do it in solitude, just me and the the inky pre-dawn sky, I am so excited to have a group sadhana here in town.

If you have ever been to the Solstice Celebration you know how amazing group sadhana is. I think some of my favorite memories in life are from those early hours there with all those beautiful hearts and souls.

But sadhana on my own has also been a powerful practice for me. Moonlit mornings, candles burning, the smell of the air before anything but the breeze has stirred it, the sound of my breath and my voice and sweetness of the devotion that I feel in those early hours.

I did 40 days of sadhana after my first summer solstice. It gifted me peace and patience I had never know before. It also exhausted me. Sadhana starts at 4:00 am. I didn’t have the stamina to keep up and I didn’t do it past my 40 days, although I missed it dearly — it’s memory had impressed itself deeply upon my heart.

I’ve made my way back to sadhana again, but the experience is new. I don’t feel a big shift in my state of mind, but funny enough, it’s sadhana that is giving me the energy to face my life now. Things are busy and hectic and on the few days I’ve missed I have little energy to meet the day.

Whatever the experience may be, sadhana is a potent practice. If you’d never tried it and are in the Naples area, please come join us for this special morning. All are welcome and there is no cost.

Right now this is the only one we have scheduled, but are hoping to do more, so stay tuned. For updates on all yoga events in the Naples/Bonita area including sadhana sign up HERE.

Let Karma Teach You Now

Karma is coming around ladies and gentlemen. Maybe you’ve noticed…

Are you being bombarded with situations you do not like, do not want to experience, or dearly wish to escape? Perhaps they are things you have avoided in the past, perhaps they just trigger certain emotions you generally choose to hide from. It may show up in surprising ways, events you don’t see coming — accidents, things breaking, even unexpected deaths.

Everything you’ve been afraid of and tried to avoid is now coming up to confront you.

This is karma my friends, but not in the usual way we talk about it. This isn’t about payback or you-get-what-you-give. It’s about coming face to face with all the things you have been running from in life.

Karma isn’t a bitch, she’s just a tough teacher. She needs to be, her task is a big one — she’s guiding you to your wholeness.

Your lessons are challenges presented to you which you are supposed to grow from. Avoid them, and they will come back around eventually. Eventually is now.

We have a major shift coming soon and some things have to be settled before we can move on. Whether or not you choose to allow these things to confront you will determine whether or not you get to ride into the new paradigm.

Imagine a train stopping to pick up passengers. It’s going somewhere pretty freakin’ awesome, but you’ve got to buy your ticket to get on. Don’t want to ante up? Then have fun at the station.
